Chinese Ambassador to Iran, Zhong Peiwu, announced Beijing’s readiness to expand cooperation with Tehran in key international initiatives, including the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), and BRICS. Writing in an article titled “China’s Sustainable and Open Economy Brings Positive Prospects for the World,” the ambassador emphasized China’s commitment to strengthening multilateralism and fostering a resilient global economy through inclusive, win-win partnerships.
Zhong reaffirmed China’s opposition to unilateralism and trade protectionism, advocating instead for a fair and multipolar world order. He highlighted China’s emergence as a global leader in advanced sectors such as high-speed rail, electric vehicles, artificial intelligence, and green energy. Beijing, he noted, is eager to share these innovations and promote development through collaborative international efforts — particularly with nations like Iran.
Stressing the importance of solidarity among Global South countries, the ambassador said China and Iran can jointly support global stability by upholding fairness and justice, reinforcing multilateral cooperation, and responding together to shared challenges. He concluded by underlining China’s willingness to act alongside Iran as a voice of justice in shaping a more stable, balanced global economic order.
